Serbian PM to pay official visit to Russia 26-29 Nov.

Russia's Ambassador to Belgrade, Alexander Chepurin, said on Sunday that economic cooperation would be the main topic on the agenda during the forthcoming visit of Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Moscow.

The Serbian premier will start his three-day official visit to Russian on Monday, and the Russian diplomat told the local media that Russia would like to enhance the bilateral relations to a higher level, and improve economic cooperation, while promising to keep supporting Serbia in UNESCO.

Russia expects a lot from Vucic's visit to Moscow, as it wants relations between the two countries to climb up the quality ladder, including a breakthrough in economic cooperation and continuation of support for Serbia's efforts at UNESCO, Chepurin told the Belgrade-based Tanjug news agency.

"The forthcoming visit by the Serbian prime minister will be a landmark one in terms of the number of both people in the Serbian delegation and topics that will be discussed," Chepurin  was quoted by Tanjug as saying, adding that the talks on economic cooperation would range from energy to industry and agriculture.

A statement from the Office of Serbia's Prime Minister reads that during his stay in Russia on 26-29 October, Vucic will hold meetings with Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, President Vladimir Putin and other Russian senior office-holders as well as with executives of Russian companies.

Serbia's delegation is likely to include some 50 members.
