Sanders wins Montana for second win in Tuesday's US primaries

US Senator Bernie Sanders has won the Democratic primary in the western state of Montana, US broadcasters project.

Sanders' win gives him two victories among six states voting in the final round of state Democratic primaries as he also won the North Dakota caucuses.

Sanders secured 51 per cent of the vote in Montana to 45 per cent for rival Hillary Clinton, who has reached the number of delegates need to secure the party's nomination at its convention next month.
