In Nevada, Trump celebrates "winning, winning, winning"

Donald Trump thanks supporters in the south-western US state of Nevada with a giddy victory speech after projections showed he had won the state's Republican caucus.

"We're winning, winning, winning, and soon the country is going to start winning, winning, winning," he said after his third straight win in the party's state-by-state nominating contests.

The bombastic billionaire enumerated his large share of the vote among evangelical Christians and Latino voters.

If elected president he would keep the US detention centre at Guantanamo Bay open to "load it up with bad dudes," he said, and reiterated a promise to make Mexico pay to build a wall along its border with the United States to stop illegal immigration.
