At least 17 students and bus driver killed in Brazil accident

At least 17 students and the bus driver were killed in an accident in Brazil late Thursday, G1 news reported citing fire officials.

Some 28 passengers were injured, the report said.

The cause of the accident was not yet clear, but the bus veered off a highway and crashed into a hillside. It was travelling between Mogi das Cruzes, which is 40 kilometres east of Sao Paulo city, and Bertioga.
