US Secretary of State John Kerry says that he has reached a "provisional agreement in principle" with his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov on the terms of a Syria truce.
Kerry, speaking in the Jordanian capital, Amman, says the truce "could begin in the coming days."
He adds that he expects US President Barack Obama will speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin in the next few days to discuss how to bring the truce into effect.
