Islamic State claims responsibility for north Baghdad bombing

Islamic State supporters on social media circulate a claim of responsibility in the group's name for the bombings which killed 44 people in a Shiite area of northern Baghdad.

dpa cannot independently verify the authenticity of the claim but it is consistent with previous such claims issued by the Sunni extremist group.
