An unauthorized drone forced air traffic at Dubai International Airport to be temporarily halted on Wednesday, authorities said.
The airspace was closed for nearly 30 minutes beginning around 8 am (0400 GMT), preventing all departures and landings, a spokesperson for Dubai Airports said.
A number of delays were reported at the airport, one of the world's busiest.
The incident is the second of its kind at the Dubai airport in more than three months. On June 11, airspace was closed for 69 minutes.
Authorities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are considering toughening laws on using drones, according to media reports.
Dubai, one of the seven emirates composing the UAE federation, is a major business hub in the region.
