The death toll from a Taliban bomb attack in Kabul this week climbed to 64 dead, an official said Wednesday.
"Another 347 were wounded" in Tuesday's attack, Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi said. It was the deadliest attack in the capital since the 2008 Indian Embassy bombing that killed 58 people.
A minivan full of explosives was blown up in a parking lot adjacent to the security forces' VIP Protection Unit Department, which provides security for high-ranking Afghan officials.
