At least 52 people were killed in Afghanistan when two buses collided with a fuel tanker, setting all three vehicles ablaze, an official said Sunday.
The accident occurred in central Ghazni province as the buses were en route from the capital Kabul to the southern city of Kandahar.
Provincial police chief Aminullah Amarkhel said 73 people survived the crash.
The wounded have been taken either to Kandahar for treatment or hospitals in Ghazni, he said.
