Blast hits central Ankara, reports of many wounded

A large explosion was reported Sunday in the heart of the Turkish capital, Ankara, news agency DHA and other media reported.

Broadcaster NTV said it was a car bombing. It took place in a park and several vehicles were set on fire.

The bomb reportedly went off in central Ankara near the Education Ministry, and there were reports of several wounded, Hurriyet Daily News said online.
