14 dead in Kolkata bridge collapse

At least 14 people are killed in the collapse of an under-construction flyover the eastern Indian city of Kolkata.

Over 70 people were feared trapped and rescue efforts were on, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee says.

Heavy cranes are being used to free vehicles trapped under the debris while police, firemen and disaster relief personnel are engaged in rescue operations.
