Ukrainian children to spend summer in Croatia

Over 300 children from Ukraine, whose parents were killed or wounded in the war in the east of the country, will spend the summer in Croatia again for free this year, Ukraine Today television said on Sunday.

A first group of 100 children left for Croatia today from Zhytomyr, where they were seen off by Ukrainian First Lady Maryna Poroshenko, among others.

They will spend ten days in the coastal city of Split.

This humanitarian drive was launched by football manager Ivica Piric, who used to played for Arsenal Kyiv. Last year too, in cooperation with the Ukrainian Embassy to Croatia and the Croatian Red Cross, he took part in organising the reception of children who were victims of the war in Ukraine.
