Qatari sheikh's luxury yacht anchored in Dubrovnik

The 125-metre-long Katara luxury yacht, owned by Qatari Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, anchored in Dubrovnik on Sunday.

The yacht was build in 2010 and is the 14th largest yacht in the world.

The 63-year-old Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani is a member of the ruling Al Thani Qatari royal family. He was the ruling Emir of the State of Qatar from 1995 to 2013.

According to media reports, his wealth is estimated at US$ 2.5 billion. He established the Qatar Investment Authority, which invested over $100 billion around the world by 2013, including in Heathrow, Harrods, Paris Saint-Germain, Volkswagen, Siemens, and Royal Dutch Shell.

The sheikh has three wives, 11 sons and 13 daughters. He visited Dubrovnik last year as well.
