Dubrovnik, Zagreb present their tourism industries in Rio de Janeiro

The cities of Dubrovnik and Zagreb have presented their tourism industries to some 150 Brazilian tourist agents and journalists at the Croatia House, opened in Rio de Janeiro, for the Summer Olympic Games, officials from the Dubrovnik Tourism Office reported on Wednesday.

Tourist officials from Zagreb and Dubrovnik expect the presentation to have a positive impact on arrivals from Brazil and other markets given the great interest of those attending the event.

Opening the Croatia House, Croatian Olympic Committee head Zlatko Matesa underlined the importance of such a place at the Games for Croatia's tourist, cultural and economic promotion.

The opening of the Croatia House, located at the Sao Francisco Hotel, was attended, among others, by Croatian Ambassador to Brazil Zeljko Vukosav, the head of the Brazil-Croatia Chamber of Commerce, Tourism and Culture in Rio de Janeiro, Ottavio Villarinho, and Croatian consul and diplomatic advisor Diana Strkalj.
