Serbia fires Curcic as national coach

The Serbian Football Federation said Wednesday that it has fired coach Radovan Curcic without providing further details.

Curcic, 44, took over in November 2014 and led the team to six losses from 10 matches. Serbia failed to reach Euro 2016 in France having finished second last in qualifying Group I.

Local media speculate that the much more experienced and esteemed Slavoljub Muslin will be named as his replacement.
