Real Madrid extend contract of Kroos to 2022

Real Madrid have extended the contract of Germany midfielder Toni Kroos for two more years, until 2022, the European champions said on Wednesday.

Kroos, 26, joined Real from Bayern Munich in 2014 - after winning the World Cup with Germany - and has helped The Whites to win the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

His orginal contract was due to expire in 2020 but has now been extended to 2022, reportedly accompanied by a substantial salary increase.
