Nigeria beat Denmark 2-0, go through to Olympic football semi-final

Nigeria defeated Denmark 2-0 in the Rio Olympics men's football quarter-finals on Saturday to advance to a semi-final contest against Germany.

Goals by John Obi Mikel (16th minute) and Aminu Umar (59) secured the victory in Salvador.

Nigeria face Germany - 4-0 winners over Portugal earlier on - in the semi-finals in Sao Paulo next Wednesday.
