Neymar extends contract with Barcelona to 2021

Brazil striker Neymar has agreed to extend his contract with Barcelona for two more years, until 2012, the Spanish champions said on Monday.

The extension will be signed at Barca's offices in the Camp Nou on Friday. According to media reports, Neymar's salary will be substantially increased.

Neymar, 24, joined Barca from Santos in 2013, in a transfer so controversial that it led to a criminal charges being filed against the Spanish club, and to the resignation of Barca president Sandro Rosell in 2014. 

Neymar has helped Barca to win two Spanish Ligas, two Spanish cups and one Champions League, forming a lethal partnership with fellow South Americans Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez.

Barca have also said that veteran defender Javier Mascherano, 32, has extended his contract for another season, to 2019.
