Germany beat Portugal 4-0 to reach Oly semi-finals

Germany clearly dominated Portugal in men's Olympic football Saturday, winning 4-0 to advance to the semi-finals.

In the match in Brasilia, the Germans got goals from Serge Gnabry (45th minute), Matthias Ginter (57,) Davie Selke (75) and Philipp Max (87th minute).

The Germans next play on Wednesday in Sao Paulo against the winner of the quarter-final match between Nigeria and Denmark.

The last Olympic medal in football for the Germans was the bronze at the 1988 Seoul Olympics won by then-West Germany.
