Tennis legends -- Goran Ivanisevic, Andre Agassi and Juan Carlos Ferrero -- will play an exhibition match in Umag on Saturday evening at the ceremony of opening the ATP Croatia Open tournament in that Croatian coastal resort.
The exhibition match will also be the first event at the Goran Ivanisevic Stadium, as the Umag Stadium will be called as of this Saturday.
Upon his arrival in Umag, Agassi said: "I’ve crossed half the world to play again with Goran."
Ivanisevic, the only person to win the men's singles title at Wimbledon as a wildcard, will play host to both Agassi and Ferrero, and admitted he didn't have an easy task ahead of him.
"Being a host to Andre and Juan Carlos won't be easy since we all know how big the two of them are, they really don't need to be specially introduced. It is a great honour to have them here and hopefully we will be able to show you a few tricks this evening," Ivanisevic stated.
This is Andre Agassi's first time in Croatia but he loved Umag at first glance, according to a report on the web site of the tournament.
Unlike Agassi, Juan Carlos Ferrero made Umag history when he won it back in 2010. However, he also remembers Umag as the place where he played his last professional match. "I have some very good but also some very sad memories of Umag but I have always had a very good time here. Everyone is so nice. This is a family tournament and it's always great to be back," Juan Carlos Ferrero was quoted as saying.
The tournament runs through 24 July.
