Croatia defeats Lithuania 90-81 to win pool play. The Croatians were in control most of the game, and led 75-55 heading into the fourth quarter, Bojan Bogdanovic led Croatia (3-2) with 22 points.
Former Gonzaga star Domantas Sabonis had two points and three rebounds for Lithuania. Lithuania would have clinched the top spot in Group B with a win, but falls to No. 3 and plays Australia (4-1) on Wednesday.
Although four of the six teams in Group B qualified for the next round with 3-2 records, Croatia ranked first based on tiebreakers. By winning, Croatia also avoided Team USA Wednesday. Instead, Argentina and Luis Scola will face the U.S.
Croatia will face Serbia Wednesday in the knock-out round of the Olympics.
