Turkey has recalled its ambassador to Austria for consultations amid a diplomatic spat between the two countries, Anadolu news agency reported Monday.
Turkey has recalled its ambassador "for consultations and to revise relations," the agency cited Turkish Foreign Minister Mehmet Cavusoglu as saying.
Cavusoglu also accused Vienna of supporting the banned Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
Vienna has been calling for an end to Ankara's negotiations to join the EU due to a lack of democratic standards in the wake of a failed coup attempt last month.
Turkey was also angry with Austria after a news ticker at Vienna airport last week carried a headline alleging a change in Turkey's laws would permit the sexual exploitation of children, a claim strongly denied in Ankara.
