Suspected French police attacker claims he killed two in video

The man suspected of killing two French police employees says he has "just killed the policeman, I have just killed his wife," in a video allegedly recorded in the victims' home and published by one of extremist group Islamic State's media arms, Aamaq.

"I am surrounded by police right now," the man says towards the end of a self-recorded video which starts with a pledge of allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and is laced with religious references.

French police have said that Larossi Abballa posted a 12-minute video on Facebook during the attack, but Abballa's account on social media was taken down.

In the video posted by Aamaq, Abballa calls in French and Arabic for killings to continue, singling out journalists, politicians and rap musicians, and threatens French authorities.
