The suicide bomber who killed himself and 10 German tourists in Istanbul this week was registered as a Syrian refugee in Turkey this month, the Dogan news agency reports, citing ongoing investigations.
Nabil Fadli entered Turkey from Syria and registered on January 5 in Istanbul, where his fingerprints were taken, according to the report. It adds that investigators identified him from a finger found at the bomb site.
Police teams continue to search for those who aided Fadli, who reportedly was born in Saudi Arabia, but left when he was 8 years old. He had Syrian citizenship.
