Prosecutors: 13 dead and 35 injured in Brussels airport explosions

Explosions at the main airport in the Belgian capital Brussels have left 13 people dead and 35 injured, local media quote federal prosecutors as saying.

Tunnels in Brussels are being closed to car traffic, the Mobiris traffic centre writes on Twitter, following explosions at the airport and in a subway station.

The explosions at the Brussels airport were carried out by at least one suicide bomber, VRT broadcaster reports.
