Hundreds of additional police have been deployed in the German capital Berlin after a 22-year-old suspect fled from authorities after police found several hundred grams of explosives in his flat.
Major points of concern are railway stations and airports, says police spokesman Winfried Wenzel.
Extra security precautions have been installed at Berlin-Schoenefeld airport. In addition to added personnel, buses are no longer allowed to drive into the terminal.
Cars and buses are also being stopped and searched for the suspect Jaber al-Bakr.
