Police: Incident at Dutch train station was false alarm

Dutch police give the all-clear after a search at Hoofddorp train station near Amsterdam fails to find anything suspicious, it writes on Twitter.

The train station has been reopened.

Police had earlier evacuated and cordoned off the train station, 15 kilometres southwest of Amsterdam, next to Schiphol airport.

According to reports, police had been searching a train from Belgium.
