Police: Car explosion that killed Berlin driver caused by bomb

A driver was killed Tuesday in Berlin after a bomb exploded either in or on his car while he was driving through the German capital's western Charlottenburg district, police said.

The car rammed into a parked vehicle following the explosion.

No other people were reported injured, police said.

Investigators were at the scene attempting to establish the details of the case and to make sure there were no further explosive devices in the area.
