A driver was killed Tuesday in Berlin after a bomb exploded either in or on his car while he was driving through the German capital's western Charlottenburg district, police said.
The car overturned as a result of the explosion and then rammed into a parked vehicle. No other people were injured in the accident, police said.
Investigators at the scene were attempting to establish the details of the case. They concluded that there were no further explosive devices at the scene.
Berlin police tweeted video footage of the scene of the explosion in which an officer warns nearby residents to stay away from their windows and keep doors closed.
They also posted an image of the wreckage of a silver station wagon, but gave no further details about the identity of its driver.
