Octopus adds to stream of Brexit predictions

As the stream of polls trying to predict the outcome of Britain's in-out referendum on Thursday suggest the outcome is too close to call, an octopus has decisively waded into the fray, coming out for a Remain win.

Otto, an octopus at Manchester Sea Life Centre, on Wednesday had two Lego blocks placed in her tank, one with the EU flag and the other with the British flag, the local Lancashire Evening Post reported.

The aquarium's Facebook page showed the psychic cephalod clearly canoodling with the Remain block.

"She has continued to enjoy using her interactive skills for the various predictions so now we'll just have to see if her next vote is correct," said curator Dan McLaughlan, according to the paper.
