Merkel will do "all possible" to avoid Schengen border closures

German Chancellor Angela Merkel says she is committed to solving Europe's migration crisis without jeopardizing the passport-free Schengen area.

"I will do all that is possible so that problems are solved in ways other that through border closures," Merkel says when asked about Italo-Austrian tensions over the Brenner Pass.
