Merkel to inaugurate EU-funded project for Syrian children at camp

German Chancellor Angela Merkel is at a government-run refugee camp in south-eastern Turkey for the inauguration of an EU-funded project that provides support to Syrian children.

The funding for the new project at the Nizip camp in the province of Gaziantep comes from an aid package the European Union offered Ankara in exchange for its help in returning thousands of migrants from Greece to Turkey.
