German police were searching for the pilot of a drone after a near-collision with a Lufthansa passenger plane in Munich airspace last week.
After asking the public for information, a spokesman for Upper Bavaria-North police said Sunday the department had received several useful pieces of evidence.
The close call happened Thursday night when a Lufthansa Airbus flying at 1,700 metres almost collided with the drone. There were more than 110 people on the Lufthansa flight.
According to the pilot, the drone dove away from the plane when it was only a few metres away.
"Imagine if the drone had fallen in the engine or smashed into the cockpit," Markus Wahl, spokesman for the German pilots' organization Cockpit, said.
"In the worst case scenario, human lives would have been in danger," Wahl continued.
