A man from the Rhineland is set to receive a record 76.8-million-euro (85.8-million-dollar) lottery jackpot, the largest win in German lottery history.
The managing director of Germany's lottery organization Andreas Koetter described the win as "truly fat Easter egg."
The winner, whose identity is to remain anonymous, bought only one ticket, the lottery organization said.
Earlier this year, a person from the same region claimed 49.7 million euros. The European lottery record remains at 90 million euros, set by a winner in the Czech Republic in 2015.
Germany's lottery organization calculates the statistical probability of winning its jackpot at one in 95 million.
