French aviation authority confirms signal detected was from black box

A signal detected during the search for remains of the Egyptair flight that was lost en route from Paris to Cairo is from one of two black boxes, a spokesman for French aviation authority BEA says.

A French ship with BEA investigators on board has been helping with the search for flight MS804's black boxes, consisting of the cockpit voice and data recorders.
