Karl Erjavec will remain Slovenia's foreign minister after the interpellation lodged by the Opposition which accused Erjavec of sabotaging the arbitration deal with Croatia and causing a fiasco in the arbitration procedure from which Croatia had pulled out.
At the end of the 16-hour parliamentary debate, which ended early on Thursday morning, 51 MPs of the ruling coalition voted for Erjavec to stay in the government and 20 Opposition MPs voted against.
Also present at the session was Prime Minister Miro Cerar who defended his minister.
