The death toll from a train crash in southern Italy has risen to 27, a media report said.
Fifty people were also injured, the ANSA news agency reported late Tuesday.
The collision between two trains happened on a single-track line between Corato and Andria, north of the port city of Bari.
Broadcast footage showed the front carriages of both trains destroyed by the collision.
