Asylum seeker dead after stabbing in German refugee centre

A 20-year-old asylum seeker is dead after a stabbing in a Bavarian refugee centre, German police said Sunday.

The 20-year-old victim was allegedly attacked by a 38-year-old fellow resident after a fight escalated overnight into Sunday. Emergency services workers found the 20-year-old seriously injured in his room in a container set up for migrants. He died at the scene.

The alleged attacker surrendered himself to authorities.
