European Commission doesn't want to comment on Croatia-Hungary relations

The European Commission said on Monday it did not wish to comment on tensions between Hungary and Croatia overt the refugee crisis.

The Commission is not here to comment on everything that is going on, especially because today we have two meetings of the COREPER (Committee of Permanent Representatives in the EU), which is discussing our proposals and we don't want to prejudge that, Commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas said.
We don't want to single out cases and states. We are the Union and have discussions as the Union, he added.
He said Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker was personally involved in the search for a solution and that today he spoke by phone with Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic and Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar, and with Croatian PM Zoran Milanovic two days ago.
Cerar's office said in a press release that, in the talks, he underlined the need to help refugees, to pay more attention to the European Union countries that were most exposed to the wave of emigrants, and to concentrate refugee centres on the Union's external borders, without neglecting the western Balkan states which, like Slovenia, were exposed to the refugee wave.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said today that Croatia was flooding Hungary with thousands of migrants without registering them.
