Zagreb to host 14th World Theatre Festival on Sept. 9-21

Zagreb will host the 14th World Theatre Festival on September 9-21, starting with "The Marriage of Maria Brown", performed at the Croatian National Theatre (HNK) on the 9th by Berlin's Schaubuehne am Lehniner Platz under the direction of Thomas Ostermeier.

Japanese director Toshiki Okada's "Time's Journey Through a Room" will be performed by the theatrical company chelfitsch on the 20th.

The Belgian theatrical company Das Fraulein (Kompanie) will perform "Tristesses" on the 23rd and the 24th which, together with the "Still Too Sad to Tell You" video installation, make a diptych on the subject of sadness created by Belgian artist Anne-Cécile Vandalem.

All three shows will be staged at the HNK.
