The 18th edition of the Spancirfest festival was held in Varazdin on 19-28 August under the slogan "Activate Your Creativity", and over 265,000 guests visited that northern city during this outdoor festival that featured 500 events, including some 50 concerts.

The head of the local Tourist Board, Jelena Toth told Hina upon the completion of the festival on Sunday evening that the number of guests was high and nearly three million guests had been registered in the aggregate in all the 18 editions of the festival.

This year, the programme featured international stars such as Manu Chao and Leibach and several Croatian pop and rock stars.

Performers from the French troupe 'Transe Express' staged a trapeze act in the downtown during the festival.
