The 38th Interliber international book and teaching aids fair, which is taking place at the Zagreb Trade Fair Centre from November 10 to 15, was formally inaugurated on Tuesday morning by Culture Minister Berislav Sipus who said that despite the economic crisis, interest in and penchant for literature were not waning.
The minister described the Interliber fair as a hub for all who are fond of literature and for publishers.
The fair is featuring 266 exhibitors, including Chinese publishers. It is open from 10am to 8pm and on Sunday, the last day of the fair, it will be open until 9pm.
Visitors will have a chance to meet and talk with Croatian and foreign authors. Last year the Interliber was visited by more than 130,000 people. The Zagreb Trade Fair Centre will also host the Infogamer by Reboot fair, from November 11 to 15.
