The Croatian Ministry of Veterans' Affairs said in a statement on Sunday that this year it had received no information about possible indictments or investigations against Croatian nationals based on a law under which Serbia declared jurisdiction over the prosecution of war crimes committed in the territory of the former Yugoslavia in the 1990s.

The Ministry of Justice said that the information concerning Serbia's legal action against Croatian citizens related to 2011, and the Ministry of Veterans' Affairs said that it had no official documents about that.

The Ministry of Veterans' Affairs requested full information from the relevant Croatian authorities about any ongoing proceedings against Croatian war veterans and said that it would continue to insist through interdepartmental cooperation that all the necessary steps be taken in accordance with the law to protect the integrity and dignity of Croatian veterans and the values of the 1991-1995 Homeland War, according to the statement.
