Stier: I haven't heard anything about talks being broken off

The political secretary of the Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ), Davor Ivo Stier, said on Thursday that he had not heard anything about talks on the formation of government between the HDZ and the Bridge party being broken off.

HDZ spokesman Ivan Jabuka confirmed that it was not true that the talks had been broken off and said that they would continue on Monday.

Earlier on, the Bridge party denied an article on the website of the Jutarnji List daily saying that the party's negotiators had suddenly broken off talks on the formation of a new government with the HDZ.

Bridge dismissed the article as untrue and malicious. "The negotiations are proceeding normally and are continuing next week," Hina learned from the party.
