Slovak delegation visits Slavonski Brod refugee centre

Croatian Interior Minister Ranko Ostojic on Friday received a Slovak Interior Ministry delegation at the Slavonski Brod refugee transit centre to see how it is organised and how it works.

Ostojic said he had a good cooperation with the Slovak colleagues and that Slovakia was among the ten countries which responded to Croatia's appeal for assistance in dealing with the refugee crisis.

More than 70,000 refugees have passed through the Slavonski Brod centre, which has a capacity of 10,000 persons. A total of 377,075 refugees have passed through Croatia since mid-September. Croatian police are registering them into their own information system according to European Union standards.
