Qatar defence minister begins official visit to Croatia

Croatian Defence Minister Josip Buljevic on Thursday received  Minister of State for Defence Khalid bin Mohammad Al Attiyah and discussed prospects and opportunities to improve cooperation in military training and the defence industry, the Defence Ministry said.

The ministers exchanged views on global and regional security challenges with emphasis on the Middle East, Mediterranean and Southeast Europe, and agreed that synchronised action by the international community was essential in resolving the causes of current crises and their consequences.

After the official talks, representatives of the Alan military equipment agency held a presentation of Croatia's defence industry which interested the Qatari delegation.

On Friday, the Qatari delegation will visit the Special Forces Command Headquarters in Delnice.
