President, foreign minister to coordinate foreign policy activities

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Monday received for talks Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miro Kovac and agreed with him modalities of cooperation and coordinated action on the foreign policy front, Grabar-Kitarovic's office said.

The president informed the minister about all of her strategic foreign policy guidelines arising from her constitutional powers.

Special emphasis was put on the Adriatic-Baltic-Black Sea initiative, cooperation within the EU and NATO, and cooperation in the area of Southeast Europe.

The two officials agreed on modalities of their future cooperation and on regular exchanges of opinions for the purpose of coordinated foreign political action, the Office of the President said in its brief statement.
