Preschool facility for Roma children in Sisak opens

A new kindergarten intended for Roma children was opened in the Sisak suburb of Hrastelnica on Wednesday, which places this central Croatian town in a group of a very few towns which include the Roma, as well as children with disabilities and other vulnerable children in preschool and kindergarten programmes under the "Inclusion of Many Colours" project.

The project was launched jointly by the town of Sisak and the UNICEF office in Croatia, while the furniture company IKEA supported it  with a donation.

This is the first project of this kind in Croatia and the model will be used in other parts of the country as well.
