PM-designate given 30 more days to form gov't

President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic on Friday evening gave Prime Minister-Designate Tihomir Oreskovic another 30 days to form and present his government and its platform to the parliament, Hina learned from the Office of the President.

The President did so at Oreskovic's request, she signed her decision and it became effective immediately.

The parliament was debating the whole day today confidence in the new government. At midnight, the 30-day time frame within which the PM-Designate must present members of his cabinet and its platform expires.

Under the Constitution, the PM-Designate may ask the President to give him 30 more days to form the government.
