Petrov to hold news conference Friday afternoon

Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Bridge party leader Bozo Petrov will hold a news conference, scheduled for 1730 hrs Friday, in the main offices of his party, according to a press release issued by the Bridge party on Friday morning

The invitation to media for the news conference, however, does not contain any information on topics on which Petrov will comment.

Petrov will hold the press conference after the cabinet of Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic takes a stance on the Opposition's motion of no confidence in First Deputy Prime Minister and Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) Tomislav Karamarko in the parliament.

Karamarko has been reportedly implicated in a case of conflict of interest due to business connections between his wife's company and his friend Josip Petrovic, who is a consultant for the Hungarian MOL oil company.

Petrov has already stated that following his proposal, Bridge members of parliament, ministers and members of the party's National Council decided to support the vote of no confidence in Karamarko.
